Nieuw Dakota's future hangs in the balance. Because we are uncertain of our continued existence, we're taking a leap into the future by calling upon the generation of artists with whom we might otherwise have collaborated only years from now, inviting them to propose a compact exhibition. On a small scale, we want to make a difference for this generation, and in turn, they make a significant difference for us. Together, we demonstrate what Amsterdam will miss without Nieuw Dakota. We have transformed a new, small-scale space in our building into a new exhibition area.
Starting October 10th, you can visit a weekly exhibition by a young artist there. Every Thursday from 18:00 - 20:00 is the opening of the new exhibition, and on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during opening hours (11:00 - 18:00), you can view the exhibition.
