It is with great sadness that we announce Nieuw Dakota will be closing its doors from January 2025. Despite positive evaluations of our multi-year plans, both the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and the Mondriaan Fund have unfortunately been unable to honor our subsidy applications due to insufficient budgets.

For fifteen inspiring years, Nieuw Dakota has created exhibitions, provided a platform for artists, forged fruitful collaborations, introduced children to art, and inspired countless visitors. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this extraordinary journey – all the artists who have exhibited with us, our loyal visitors, generous donors, passionate partners, and everyone who has held Nieuw Dakota dear to their hearts.
